Claims Adjuster – Professional Liability (Lawyers Liability) | Remote Direct Hire

Insurance Placement Solutions has an immediate opening for a Remote Professional  Liability Claims Adjuster with our client. As a member of our client’s claims team, utilize your knowledge to independently investigate, evaluate and resolve assigned claims in order to achieve appropriate outcomes. In this position, you will administer and resolve claims in a timely manner in accordance with legal statutes, policy provisions, and company guidelines.

Professional Liability (Lawyers Liability) Claims Adjuster Responsibilities

• Under technical direction, investigates and maintains Professional Liability claims, preferably claims involving nurses and other healthcare providers
• Solid knowledge of claims and insurance industry theory and practices
• Demonstrated technical expertise and product specific knowledge
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills
• Ability to work independently, managing time and resources to accomplish multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills enabling viable alternative solutions
• Ability to exercise independent judgment and make critical business decisions effectively assessing the merits of claims as well as evaluating claims based on a cost-benefit analysis
• Ability to fully comprehend claim information; and to further articulate analyses of claims in internal reports
• Ability to handle claims with a proactive long-term view of business goals and objectives

Experience

• 5 or more years of experience in the professional liability claims and/or litigation management area
• Lawyers’ Liability experience preferred

Licenses and Certifications

• An active license is required
• CPCU, ARM, AIM, and/or AIC certifications preferred

Education

• Juris Doctor preferred
