General Liability Claims Adjuster | NJ experience

Insurance Placement Solutions has an immediate opening for a General Liability Claims Adjuster with our client. As a member of our client’s claims team, utilize your knowledge of general liability to independently investigate, evaluate, and resolve assigned claims in order to achieve appropriate outcomes. In this position, you will administer and resolve claims in a timely manner in accordance with legal statutes, policy provisions, and company guidelines.

General Liability Claims Adjuster Responsibilities

• Investigate and analyze complex commercial general liability claims to determine exposure and ensure accurate evaluation.
• Develop and execute action plans to drive timely, appropriate claim resolutions.
• Assess liability and negotiate settlements within assigned authority levels.
• Set, monitor, and adjust reserves to maintain accuracy throughout the claim lifecycle.
• Issue timely benefit payments, adjustments, and required state filings within statutory limits.
• Coordinate and oversee vendor services for investigations or litigation support.
• Utilize cost-containment strategies and vendor partnerships to reduce overall claim expenses.
• Maintain clear, professional communication with claimants and clients to support a positive and informed experience.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience handling commercial general liability claims as a claims adjuster
• An active adjuster license is preferred

Education

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required
