Workers Compensation Claims Adjuster | AZ license

Insurance Placement Solutions (IPS) has an immediate opening for a Workers’ Compensation Claims Examiner with our client in Phoenix, Arizona. This position is primarily office-based in Phoenix, with the possibility of remote work for the right candidate. In this role, you’ll utilize your workers’ compensation expertise to process and manage low-level indemnity claims, ensuring timely adjudication in accordance with Arizona statutes, company standards, and industry best practices.

Workers’ Compensation Claims Examiner Responsibilities

• Process low-level workers’ compensation claims, determining compensability and benefits due on long-term indemnity claims
• Monitor and maintain accurate reserves throughout the life of the claim
• Develop and coordinate action plans through resolution, including return-to-work efforts
• Approve and process claim payments in accordance with claim strategy and client contracts
• Administer subrogation efforts and negotiate settlements
• File the necessary documentation with the appropriate state agency
• Communicate claim activity and decisions with claimants and clients
• Ensure accurate file documentation and proper claims coding
• Process low-level lifetime medical and/or defined period medical claims, including state and physician filings and utilization review decisions
• Maintain professional client relationships and adhere to company quality standards

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience handling workers’ compensation lost time/indemnity claims as a claims adjuster
• Previous experience handling Arizona lost time claims

Licensing

• An active Arizona adjuster license

Education

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
