Workers Compensation Claims Assistant

Insurance Placement Solutions has an immediate opening for an Onsite Workers Compensation Claims Assistant with our client. As a key member of the claims team, you will provide administrative support to ensure efficient processing of workers’ compensation claims. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple administrative tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Workers Compensation Claims Assistant Responsibilities

• Enter new workers’ compensation claims into the claims management system.
• Input and review claim notes and diaries as instructed.
• Process claim payments and handle incoming and outgoing mail.
• Perform administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and photocopying.
• Prepare and distribute letters, reports, and forms.
• Answer and initiate telephone calls, set up medical appointments, and provide customer service as needed.
• Assist in preparing and distributing computer reports.
• Support quality programs and perform additional duties as assigned.

Experience

• Minimum of 3 years of clerical or customer service experience in an office environment.
• Experience handling phones, data entry, and administrative support.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel.

Education

• A high school diploma or GED is required.

• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in computer and typing skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.

Work Environment

• Onsite position in Syracuse, NY (no remote option).
• Must be able to handle multiple priorities and work-related stress.
• Requires computer keyboarding and phone use.

Additional Requirements

• Credit security clearance, verified through a background credit check, is required for this position.
