Claims Operations Manager
Insurance Placement Solutions (IPS) has an immediate opening for a Claims Operations Manager with our client, a global leader in claims management and risk solutions. This is a direct hire opportunity offering a hybrid work schedule with three days per week in the office. In this leadership role, you will oversee the technical and operational functions of assigned office locations, ensuring compliance with company standards, client service requirements, and industry best practices while driving operational excellence and business growth.
Claims Operations Manager Responsibilities
- Provide overall operational leadership for assigned offices and business units
- Establish and maintain policies and procedures that support compliance with claims management standards, regulatory requirements, and client expectations
- Develop and execute business plans, goals, and performance objectives for assigned operations
- Monitor operational and financial performance through management reporting and analytics
- Oversee staffing, workforce planning, and training initiatives to ensure operational effectiveness
- Manage budget preparation, profit and loss accountability, and financial performance for assigned offices
- Partner with sales and client service teams to support business development and client retention efforts
- Lead, mentor, and develop management teams and staff to maximize performance and engagement
- Ensure consistent delivery of high-quality claims services and operational results
- Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
Qualifications
- 10+ years of claims management experience
- 3+ years of supervisory or operational leadership experience
- Strong technical claims knowledge across multiple lines of business
- Experience managing office operations, budgets, staffing, and performance metrics
- Excellent leadership, coaching, and employee development skills
- Strong analytical, organizational, and decision-making abilities
- Outstanding verbal, written, and presentation skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and drive results in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and business reporting tools
Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- CPCU, ARM, AIM, AIC, or similar industry designations preferred
- Appropriate licenses as required
