Commercial Auto Casualty Claims Adjuster
Insurance Placement Solutions (IPS) has an immediate opening for a Commercial Auto Casualty (Bodily Injury) Adjuster with our client. This is a temporary opportunity for an experienced commercial auto claims professional with a strong background in litigated bodily injury claims. The work arrangement has not yet been confirmed and may be remote, hybrid, or in-office.
In this role, you’ll manage complex commercial auto bodily injury claims, including high-severity losses, while ensuring compliance with client guidelines, industry best practices, and applicable state regulations.
Commercial Auto Casualty (Bodily Injury) Adjuster Responsibilities
- Investigate, evaluate, and resolve commercial auto bodily injury claims from assignment through conclusion
- Analyze coverage, determine liability, and evaluate damages on complex commercial auto losses
- Handle litigated bodily injury claims, coordinating with defense counsel and other parties throughout the litigation process
- Develop and execute strategic action plans to move claims toward timely and appropriate resolution
- Establish and maintain accurate claim reserves
- Communicate claim activity and claim strategy with insureds, clients, brokers, attorneys, and other stakeholders
- Ensure claim files are accurately documented and coded
- Meet all state-required contact and documentation deadlines
- Present complex claims to internal and external stakeholders as needed
- Maintain compliance with client handling instructions, company standards, and regulatory requirements
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of commercial auto bodily injury claims handling experience
- Extensive litigation experience handling commercial auto bodily injury claims
- Experience handling high-severity commercial trucking losses valued up to and exceeding $1 million
- Demonstrated experience handling moderate to severe bodily injury claims
- Strong understanding of commercial auto policies, coverage analysis, liability, and claim evaluation
- Experience working in a fast-paced claims environment
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, organizational, and communication skills
- TPA experience is a plus
Licensing
- Must be licensed or eligible to maintain adjuster licenses in the contiguous 48 states
Education
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Professional claims designations are a plus
