Senior Workers Compensation Claims Adjuster

Insurance Placement Solutions (IPS) has an immediate opening for a Workers’ Compensation Claims Adjuster with our client. This is a temporary opportunity with the potential for temp-to-hire. The position follows a hybrid schedule, with three days per week in the office and two days remote.

In this role, you’ll manage Arizona workers’ compensation claims, including both litigated and non-litigated files. You’ll apply your knowledge of Arizona workers’ compensation requirements to manage claims effectively, complete required Commission filings, and move files toward timely resolution.

Workers’ Compensation Claims Adjuster Responsibilities

• Manage Arizona workers’ compensation claims from assignment through resolution
• Handle both litigated and non-litigated workers’ compensation claims
• Investigate claims and determine compensability
• Manage medical and indemnity benefits as appropriate
• Develop and maintain claim strategies and action plans
• Complete required forms and filings with the applicable workers’ compensation Commission
• Establish and maintain appropriate claim reserves
• Coordinate with defense counsel on litigated claims
• Evaluate and negotiate settlements within designated authority
• Maintain accurate and timely claim documentation
• Communicate claim activity and developments with claimants, employers, medical providers, attorneys, and other stakeholders
• Ensure claims are handled in accordance with Arizona workers’ compensation requirements

Qualifications

• Strong Arizona workers’ compensation claims handling experience
• Experience independently managing workers’ compensation claims
• Experience handling both litigated and non-litigated claims
• Experience completing required workers’ compensation forms and Commission filings

Preferred

• Utah workers’ compensation claims handling experience

Licensing & Certifications

• Active Arizona adjuster certification or license required
