Senior Workers’ Compensation Claims Adjuster | TN experience

Insurance Placement Solutions (IPS) has an immediate opening for a Senior Workers’ Compensation Claims Adjuster with our client. This is a fully remote, direct-hire opportunity focused on Tennessee workers’ compensation lost-time claims. Candidates must have strong Tennessee jurisdictional experience, including handling litigated claims.

In this role, you’ll independently manage Tennessee workers’ compensation lost-time claims from investigation through resolution. You’ll determine compensability, administer indemnity benefits, establish reserves, coordinate medical treatment, manage litigation, and negotiate settlements while ensuring compliance with Tennessee workers’ compensation requirements.

Senior Workers’ Compensation Claims Adjuster Responsibilities

• Manage Tennessee workers’ compensation lost-time claims from assignment through resolution
• Investigate claims and determine compensability in accordance with Tennessee workers’ compensation requirements
• Calculate and administer indemnity benefits and authorize claim payments within designated authority
• Coordinate medical treatment and monitor claim developments
• Establish and maintain appropriate claim reserves
• Develop and maintain claim strategies and action plans through resolution
• Manage litigated workers’ compensation claims and coordinate with defense counsel
• Evaluate claim exposure and negotiate settlements within designated authority
• Coordinate return-to-work efforts with employers, medical providers, and other stakeholders
• Maintain accurate and timely claim documentation
• Communicate claim developments with claimants, employers, attorneys, medical providers, and clients
• Ensure claims are handled in accordance with Tennessee workers’ compensation regulations and client requirements

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of Tennessee workers’ compensation claims handling experience
• Experience independently managing workers’ compensation lost-time indemnity claims
• Experience handling litigated workers’ compensation claims
• Strong knowledge of Tennessee workers’ compensation laws, regulations, and claims-handling requirements

Preferred

• Mississippi workers’ compensation claims handling experience
• Experience using Guidewire ClaimCenter
