Bureau Reporting Analyst
Insurance Placement Solutions (IPS) has an immediate opening for a Bureau Reporting Analyst with our client. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity with a preferred hybrid schedule in Farmington Hills, Michigan, though remote candidates may be considered, particularly those with prior bureau reporting experience. In this role, you’ll support bureau reporting operations through data validation, reconciliation, error research, and regulatory reporting activities while helping ensure the accuracy and integrity of critical insurance data.
Bureau Reporting Analyst Responsibilities
- Research and identify reporting discrepancies across multiple data sources and reporting platforms
- Validate, reconcile, and analyze insurance data to ensure reporting accuracy and compliance
- Investigate and resolve errors within complex data sets and reporting submissions
- Monitor and maintain bureau reporting standards, procedures, and reporting requirements
- Prepare and review reports submitted to industry bureaus and regulatory organizations
- Collaborate with internal departments to resolve reporting issues and improve data quality
- Support reporting efforts involving organizations such as NCCI, ISO, DMV, and other insurance bureaus
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and increased reporting efficiency
- Assist with maintaining reporting documentation, procedures, and compliance standards
- Provide support and guidance regarding reporting requirements and data integrity initiatives
- Monitor reporting inquiries and ensure timely resolution of outstanding issues
Qualifications
- Experience in bureau reporting, compliance, insurance operations, data analysis, or a related field preferred
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Experience performing data validation and data reconciliation activities
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
- Ability to research, identify, and resolve discrepancies within large data sets
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Insurance industry experience preferred
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior bureau reporting experience within an insurance carrier environment
- Experience working with NCCI, ISO, DMV, or similar insurance reporting organizations
- Knowledge of workers’ compensation policy reporting, financial aggregates, and regulatory reporting requirements
- Experience supporting compliance and reporting functions within the property and casualty insurance industry
Compensation
- $30 to $35 per hour, depending on experience
- Higher compensation may be considered for candidates with extensive bureau reporting experience
Work Arrangement
- Temp-to-hire opportunity
- Minimum six-month contract assignment
- Hybrid schedule preferred with in-office work in Farmington Hills, MI
- Remote candidates may be considered, particularly those with bureau reporting experience
- Candidates must provide their own computer equipment and monitors
Education
- Associate’s degree, bachelor’s degree, or equivalent professional experience preferred
