General Liability / Product Liability / Professional Liability Claims Adjuster

Insurance Placement Solutions (IPS) has an immediate opening for a General Liability / Product Liability / Professional Liability Claims Adjuster with our client in the Chicago, Illinois area. This is a fully remote direct-hire opportunity, with preference given to candidates located in the Chicago metropolitan area. In this role, you’ll manage a diverse portfolio of complex casualty claims, utilizing your technical expertise to investigate, evaluate, negotiate, and resolve claims while delivering exceptional client service and maintaining compliance with company standards and industry best practices.

General Liability / Product Liability / Professional Liability Claims Adjuster Responsibilities

• Independently investigate, evaluate, and resolve General Liability, Product Liability, and Professional Liability claims
• Analyze coverage, liability, damages, and applicable policy provisions to determine claim exposure
• Develop and execute effective claim resolution strategies, including negotiation and settlement
• Manage litigated claims and coordinate with defense counsel, experts, and vendors throughout the litigation process
• Establish and maintain appropriate claim reserves and monitor reserve adequacy throughout the life of the claim
• Maintain accurate and timely claim documentation in accordance with company standards and regulatory requirements
• Communicate claim activity and recommendations with insureds, brokers, attorneys, and internal stakeholders
• Identify risk trends and provide technical expertise on complex casualty matters
• Deliver exceptional customer service while maintaining strong professional relationships

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience handling Commercial General Liability, Product Liability, or Professional Liability claims
• Strong experience managing litigated casualty claims from inception through resolution
• Excellent coverage analysis, investigation, negotiation, and settlement skills
• Ability to independently manage a complex caseload and prioritize multiple assignments
• Strong analytical, organizational, and decision-making abilities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience working with commercial accounts and sophisticated insureds preferred
