Senior Commercial Auto & General Liability Claims Adjuster

Insurance Placement Solutions (IPS) has an immediate opening for a Senior Commercial Auto & General Liability Claims Adjuster with our client. This is a fully remote direct hire opportunity for an experienced liability claims professional with extensive litigation experience. In this role, you’ll manage a complex caseload of commercial auto and general liability claims while ensuring timely, thorough, and cost-effective claim resolution.

Senior Commercial Auto & General Liability Claims Adjuster Responsibilities

• Investigate, evaluate, and resolve complex commercial auto and general liability claims
• Manage a caseload of heavily litigated liability claims from assignment through final resolution
• Analyze coverage, liability, damages, and claim exposure
• Establish, monitor, and adjust claim reserves throughout the life of each claim
• Develop and implement strategic claim handling and litigation management plans
• Coordinate and manage defense counsel, independent adjusters, experts, and other vendors
• Negotiate settlements within assigned authority and provide recommendations for higher authority approvals
• Maintain accurate claim documentation and timely file activity
• Communicate effectively with insureds, claimants, attorneys, clients, and internal stakeholders
• Ensure all claim handling complies with applicable state regulations, client requirements, and industry best practices

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial liability claims handling experience
• Extensive experience handling heavily litigated commercial auto and general liability claims
• Strong coverage analysis, liability evaluation, and negotiation skills
• Experience managing defense counsel and complex litigation strategies
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and decision-making abilities
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to independently manage a complex caseload in a remote environment

Licensing

• Active New York Adjuster License required
• Multi-state adjuster licensing preferred
