Senior Commercial General Liability Claims Examiner

Insurance Placement Solutions (IPS) has an immediate opening for a Senior Commercial General Liability Claims Adjuster with our client in the Northeast region. This is a remote direct hire opportunity supporting a heavily litigated commercial general liability claims desk. The ideal candidate will have extensive litigation experience handling complex GL claims across multiple Northeast jurisdictions.

Senior Commercial General Liability Claims Adjuster Responsibilities

• Handle a caseload of complex and heavily litigated commercial general liability claims from inception through resolution
• Investigate claims to determine coverage, liability, damages, and exposure
• Manage all aspects of litigation, including coordinating with defense counsel and developing litigation strategies
• Establish and maintain appropriate reserves throughout the life of the claim
• Negotiate settlements within designated authority levels
• Communicate effectively with insureds, claimants, attorneys, clients, and vendors
• Maintain accurate and timely claim documentation in accordance with company guidelines and jurisdictional requirements
• Ensure all file handling complies with applicable state statutes, client requirements, and industry best practices
• Provide superior customer service while managing multiple complex claims simultaneously

Qualifications

• Minimum 4+ years of active experience handling litigated commercial general liability claims
• Candidates will likely possess 7+ years of overall commercial GL claims adjusting experience
• Strong experience handling heavily litigated claims required
• Knowledge of Northeast jurisdictions required
• Experience handling claims for real estate management and retail accounts preferred
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and decision-making skills
• Strong organizational and communication abilities
• Ability to independently manage a complex caseload in a remote environment

Licensing

• Active New York Adjuster License preferred

Work Arrangement

• Fully remote position
• Candidates should be located on the East Coast, preferably within the Northeast region
