Senior Commercial GL/Auto Claims Adjuster

Insurance Placement Solutions (IPS) has an immediate opening for a Senior Commercial GL/Auto Claims Adjuster with our client. This is a direct-hire opportunity for an experienced commercial casualty claims professional with a strong background handling Auto and General Liability claims.

In this role, you’ll independently manage Commercial Auto and General Liability Bodily Injury and Property Damage claims, including investigation, coverage and liability evaluation, reserving, negotiation, and resolution. The ideal candidate will have multi-state claims experience and the licensing necessary to handle claims across multiple jurisdictions, including New York.

Senior Commercial GL/Auto Claims Adjuster Responsibilities

• Manage Commercial Auto and General Liability Bodily Injury and Property Damage claims from investigation through resolution
• Investigate claims and evaluate coverage, liability, damages, and overall exposure
• Develop and maintain claim strategies and action plans
• Establish and maintain appropriate reserves based on claim exposure
• Evaluate Bodily Injury and Property Damage demands
• Negotiate settlements within designated authority
• Coordinate with insureds, claimants, attorneys, vendors, and other involved parties
• Identify and pursue subrogation and other recovery opportunities
• Maintain accurate and timely claim documentation
• Ensure claims are handled in accordance with applicable jurisdictional requirements and client service expectations

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of liability claims handling experience
• Experience handling both Commercial Auto and General Liability claims
• Experience handling Bodily Injury and Property Damage claims
• Multi-state claims handling experience

Licensing & Certifications

• New York adjuster license is required
• Additional state adjuster licenses required for assigned jurisdictions
• Multi-state licensing preferred
