Senior Workers Compensation Claims Adjuster | New England experience

Insurance Placement Solutions (IPS) has an immediate opening for a Senior Workers’ Compensation Claims Adjuster with our client, a leading third-party administrator, in a fully remote capacity. In this role, you’ll manage a caseload of complex, litigated workers’ compensation claims across New England jurisdictions, ensuring timely investigation, evaluation, and resolution in accordance with state statutes, client guidelines, and industry best practices.

Senior Workers’ Compensation Lost Time Claims Adjuster Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of lost-time and litigated workers’ compensation claims across New England states
• Investigate claims to determine compensability, exposure, and benefit eligibility
• Administer indemnity and medical benefits in accordance with applicable state regulations
• Develop and execute strategic claim action plans to ensure timely resolution
• Manage the litigation process, coordinating with defense counsel and vendors
• Establish and maintain appropriate reserves throughout the life of the claim
• Negotiate settlements within designated authority levels
• Ensure all claim handling complies with state statutes, client requirements, and industry best practices
• Maintain accurate documentation and timely communication with claimants, clients, and stakeholders

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience handling lost-time and litigated workers’ compensation claims
• Experience handling claims in one or more of the following states: Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Connecticut, Maine, Rhode Island, or Vermont
• Strong knowledge of workers’ compensation laws and claims handling practices
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills
• Ability to independently manage complex claims and meet deadlines

License

• An active Maine adjuster license is preferred

Education

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required
