Workers Compensation Claims Adjuster | AZ license

Insurance Placement Solutions (IPS) has an immediate opening for a Workers’ Compensation Claims Examiner with our client in the Phoenix, AZ area. In this role, you’ll manage workers’ compensation claims from inception through resolution, investigating, evaluating, and resolving lost-time and litigated claims in accordance with state statutes, policy provisions, and company guidelines.

Workers’ Compensation Claims Examiner Responsibilities

• Investigate workers’ compensation claims by reviewing coverage, liability, and relevant documentation
• Manage claims from start to finish, ensuring timely and appropriate resolution
• Evaluate claim exposure and set or recommend appropriate reserves within authority limits
• Negotiate and process settlements in accordance with company guidelines
• Ensure claim payments are issued accurately and on time
• Maintain detailed claim documentation and diary notes to track claim progress
• Ensure all claims handling complies with state statutes, regulatory requirements, and company procedures
• Communicate effectively with claimants, employers, attorneys, medical providers, and other stakeholders

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience handling litigated Arizona lost-time workers’ compensation claims
• Previous experience handling UT, TX, and/or CO claims is a plus
• Strong knowledge of workers’ compensation statutes and claims processes

Licensing

• An active Arizona adjuster license
